OK, on the theme of babies, (did you all hear the exciting news that Eva is expecting a little baby boy!) a dear friend of ours is a short month away from welcoming her new baby to the world (so exciting!!!).
So we (myself and the lovely Merryn) decided it was the perfect time to throw her a special “South American Fiesta” themed baby shower.
Merryn and I decided to keep it simple, good food, good friends and a few silly games…and a pinata obviously – I think it was a success.
Blue paper rose decorations – these are actually super easy to make – thanks pinterest.
(although they do turn your fingers blue for about 24hrs afterwards…!!)
The decorations – pinata included.
(**We did also have cocktails – including virgin ones obviously!)
All the lovely ladies brought along a delicious dish – we were blown away by their creativity and the effort they all went to.
We had enchilada’s, empinada’s, taco’s, spicy meatballs…
…and the sweets, macaroons (L’aduree eat your heart out – these were homemade!), an amazing fruity flan, and cinnamon tortilla chips with fruit salsa (these are addictive!).
And pinata cake!
“Happy Baby to you!”
Then present time – a seriously impressive nappy cake and hand knitted mobile!!
Oh and we had some freshly popped corn to take away.
The gorgeous mama to be – how happy does she look!
Roll on November – I want to meet this baby!
Ps. Mr & Mrs L have decided to keep what they’re having a surprise (although, myself and Mr have a sneaking suspicion it’s a girl!)…you heard it here first!
